Overview's Publishing Process

- Prepublication manuscript is submitted to the Library of Congress. (Some exclusions apply.)
- The finished, edited, proofed manuscript is published. (Editing, proofing, and cover design are NOT included.)
- The published book is listed with Amazon, Ingram Spark, and pitched to bookstores.
- The author receives royalties of the sale price as shown below.

Royalties

- 15% hardcover
- 10% paperback
- 7.5% trade paperback
- 5% mass market

We do not pay advances against royalties.

Marketing

You are in control of your marketing. We offer a discount on author copies of books so you can take your work to conventions, trade shows, and book signings. Overview will be offering a marketing service package in the future. Your book does not have to be published with Overview to register for marketing services.
